Nikos Pappas tied the score at the end of the first half with a dunk and then led Panathinaikos to the impressive win over CSKA. The Greens prevailed (86-85) and stayed alive in the Euroleague play offs, even if CSKA still has a 2-1 lead.

Pappas led the hosts in scoring with 25 points and, in total, coach Ivanovic’s players Ivanovic shot 51% in threes at home. Still, thanks to Sonny Weems (24 p.) and a big three by Milos Teodosic, the guests made it a one point game (84-83) with 12 seconds to go. Diamantidis was fouled, he missed the first free throw, made the second (85-83) and Kyle Hines tied the score (85-85) with five seconds left. Pappas was fouled, he made the first free throw (86-85), he missed the second on purpose and he was punished for that.

CSKA got the ball with 3,5 seconds left, but couldn’t get it the right way on the court in order to make a shot and Panathinaikos got the big win. In total, 62 points were scored in the last quarter (32-30 for CSKA).
