Game 3 can be the most crucial in a playoffs series and Olympiacos made the most of it. The Reds got the 73-71 win over Barcelona and they can close the series at their gym, getting the qualification to the Final Four.

Once again the duo of Vasilis Spanoulis (15 p. 8 as.) and Giorgos Printezis (19 p.) were the leader of the Greeks, however the game was decided by defense and also luck. Barcelona entered the last period with a 60-59 lead, but couldn’t score for the next 7 minutes. Olympiacos with a 11-2 run got a 70-62 lead, still Juan Carlos Navarro made again a one point game (70-69) with one minute to go. Spanoulis lost the ball, Navarro was blocked by Bryant Dunson with 29 seconds left, Barcelona got two more offensive possessions due to offensive rebounds and Brad Oleson missed two threes.

With 12 seconds on the clock Tomas Satoransky fouled Spanoulis and he made his free throws (72-69). Juan Carlos Navarro was also fouled and made two (72-71), the same happened with Printezis, he made 1/2 (73-71) and Alex Abrines in a five seconds play lost the last shot.
