Nizhny Novgorod is the fourth team after CSKA Moscow, Lokomotiv Kuban and Khimki which qualified to VTB’s league semifinals. Despite playing on the road against Zenit St. Petersburg, Nizhny got the 75-65 in the 5th and last game of the series.
Tarence Kinsey led the way with 22 points for the winners, who are the only team that advanced without having the home court advantage. However now they face CSKA Moscow, while Khimki hosts Lokomotiv Kuban in the other semifinal couple.
