Valencia broke Bilbao’s home twice and qualified to the semifinals after the thriller-win 71-70 in the third game.
The visitors had always the lead in the game and seemed to win it easily (62-53, 32′). However, Bilbao came back and one minute before the end had for first time in the game the lead (67-66, 39′) thanks to Mumbru (16p), Williams (14p), Bertans (11p) and Todorovic (10p). The hosts had the chance to beat Valencia but their hero, Alex Mumbru missed the crucial shot 7” before the end!
Valencia celebrated the second break within few days in Basque country behind Van Rosson (14p), Dubllevic (13p) and Ribas (11p) and will meet Real Madrid in the semifinals.
