Action in Italy resumed but not for everyone since the coronavirus forced the postponement of two games.

Olimpia Milano grabbed its sixth straight win in the Italian League and continues being the only undefeated team by Day 6. The games of Cantu – Triest and Treviso – Reggio Emilia are being rescheduled due to coronavirus cases among players.

Olimpia Milano – Dolomiti Energia Trento 82 – 75 

Thanks to a brilliant fourth quarter (22-13), Milano beat Trento to improve to 6-0. Shavon Shields scored 24 points on 9-11 shots and grabbed five rebounds while Michael Roll added 19 points. Sergio Rodriguez dished out an Italian League career-high 12 assists to go with his 10 points.

Gary Browne led Trento with 18 points. JaCorey Williams notched 15 points and 18 rebounds while Luke Maye had 15 points plus 10 boards.

Brescia – Virtus Roma 64-70

Virtus Roma bounced back from a four-game losing streak to achieve their second victory of the season on the road. Luca Campogrande paced the winners with 19 points, Dario Hunt posted a double-double with 14 points and 10 boards and Jamil Wilson added 11 points.

Dusan Ristic was the only Brescia in double figures and finished the game with 14 points.

Reyer Venezia – Virtus Bologna 68 – 83 

Kyle Weems had 16 points and Stefan Markovic scored 14 as Bologna defeated Venezia on the road.  Stefano Tonut stood out from Venezia with 24 points.

Dinamo Sassari – Varese 104 – 82 

Luis Scola was once again impressive with 33 points and six rebounds but Sassari was way too hot (16-2 triples) for Varese and got an easy win at home. Eimantas Bendzius (23 points), Justin Tillman (19 points, seven rebounds) and Miro Bilan (18 points) paced the Sardinian team to victory.

Arturs Strautins added 26 points and eight rebounds for Varese.

Pesaro – Cremona 95 – 83

Frantz Massenat had 21 points and Tyler Cain grabbed 19 rebounds to pair with his 12 points as Pesaro downed Cremona. Marko Filipovity notched 16 points and nine rebounds while Carlos Delfino had 16 points and five boards for the hosts.

Fabio Mian (25 points, nine rebounds) and Daulton Hommes (24 points, seven rebounds) produced the lot but weren’t enough for Cremona.

Brindisi – Fortitudo Bologna 100 – 74

D’Angelo Harrison and Darius Thompson dropped 22 points apiece to lead Brindisi’s strong offense against Fortitudo Bologna. Todd Withers scored 24 and Adrian Banks 23 for the visiting side.

UNAHOTELS Reggio Emilia – De’ Longhi Treviso 98-74

Brandon Taylor came up with a team-high 19 points in the delayed affair pushing the hosts to 4-3. Josh Bostic added 16 points.

For the losing side, Nicola Akele ended up with 22 points.
