The two main contenders got a 2-0 advantage while Sassari got a big road win in Venice

Virtus Bologna and AX Emporio Armani Olimpia Milan got the job done, getting a 2-0 lead in their first round playoffs series, while Reyer Venice lost to Dinamo Sassari, which managed to tie their series to 1-1.

Virtus got the 109-95 win over Brindisi with Marco Belinelli scoring 18 points, Jordan Mickey and Milos Teodosic adding 17 each, while Toko Shengelia had 16. D’Angelo Harrison tried his best with 21 points for the losing side but it was not enough.

For Milan, things were even easier on the way to a 86-57 triumph over Pesaro with Devon Hall scoring 13 points and Shabazz Napier adding 12. Davide Morreti scored 15 for the guests.

The only road win of the day was registered in Venice with Sassari getting an easy 81-55 win. Ousmane Diop scored 20 points for the winning side which managed to get a crucial advantage for the rest of the series.
