After nine straight wins across all competitions and an undefeated domestic run, Virtus Bologna falls in PalaRadi

Making nearly 50% of the three-point shots, Vanoli Cremona was in command for most of the demanding matchup opposite Virtus Segafredo Bologna.

The team coached by Demis Cavina earned the win, 93-83, in Round 6 of Italy’s LBA UnipolSai Regular Season.

Trevor Lacey and Nathan Adrian combined for six out of the 13/27 from beyond the arc in PalaRadi. Grant Golden tallied a game-high 22 points with Adrian and Lacey adding 18 and 14 points, respectively.

Luca Banchi’s side was coming off nine wins in a row across all competitions but was forced down to 5-1 in the domestic league. Tornike Shengelia reached a team-high 14 points in the losing effort. Gabriel Iffe Lundberg and Bryant Dunston did not suit up with Achille Polonara sidelined as well.

Olimpia Milan strolls past Brindisi

Packing a game-high 16 points plus four rebounds and three assists, Stefano Tonut was the top performer for the defending champions in Italy. Alex Poythress, Shavon Shields, and Giordano Bortolani followed with 11 points each.

Kevin Pangos, Nikola Mirotic, and Kyle Hines were all sidelined along with Billy Baron (right elbow surgery) for Le Scarpette Rosse.
