In a basketball environment that looks forward to increasing numbers each and every day when it comes to gaining interest from abroad audiences, it’s crucial for domestic leagues to really open themselves to the world.

It’s what has helped ACB become one of the most followed leagues internationally, also thanks to their interesting and multi-instrumental approach towards the mid-season Spanish Cup, the Copa del Rey.

In Italy, things are about to change with the upcoming LBA Frecciarossa Final Eight, which will feature Germani Brescia, Bertram Derthona Tortona, Virtus Segafredo Bologna, EA7 Emporio Armani Milan, Dolomiti Energia Trentino, UNAHOTELS Reggio Emilia, Trapani Shark, and Pallacanestro Trieste.

As announced by the LBA with a press release, they were able to reach agreements with several media companies throughout Europe, to make sure the games could be followed by several audiences.

Fans in “the Balkans (TV Arena), the Baltic countries (Setanta Sports), Greece (COSMOTE TV), Israel (Charlton), Turkey (Sports TV), Poland (PolSat), Georgia (1TV Georgia), Kazakhstan (Sport+), Slovakia (RTVS), Czech Republic (Sporty TV), Ukraine (MainCast), and the USA (Next Level)” will be able to follow the event.

Moreover, LBA found an important agreement with EuroLeagueTV too, as the EuroLeague’s streaming service will have games for free on their platform in “the UK, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Norway, and Sweden.” DAZN, instead, will broadcast games for free worldwide.

Adding the presence of International guests and well-known sideline reporters such as Dora Panteli (Greece), Deniz Aksoy (Turkey), and Ana Quiles (Spain) will help even more enrich the event, which will also feature a special English podcast with two announced hosts.

The event is set to take place in Turin’s Inalpi Arena, where in the previous two editions fans could enjoy interesting matchups and historic victories, such as Brescia’s in 2023 and Napoli’s in 2024.
