Virtus Segafredo Bologna picked up 31-year-old point guard Brandon Taylor.
The experienced floor general signed a contract for the remainder of the 2024-25 season, the team announced on Wednesday. He will reinforce the team coached by Dusko Ivanovic in Italy’s LBA Playoff Unipol 2025
Per the press release: “Virtus Pallacanestro Bologna S.p.A. announces that it has reached an agreement with Brandon Taylor until the end of the season.
Born in West Hollywood on Jan. 8, 1994, Taylor previously played in the Italian league with the Reggio Emilia jersey in the 2020-2021 season.
“I am very happy to be in Bologna and I can’t wait to start these playoffs. Forza Virtus!”, the first statements of the newly acquired virtussino.
A playmaker who comes from two seasons in the ACB and who this year ended his experience in the Spanish league with an average of 13 points and almost 7 assists per game: with the Leyma Coruna’s jersey he has significantly raised the level of his performance, culminating with the 15 points and 12 assists in the win against Barcelona.
In the bianconero Brandon Taylor reunites with Momo Diouf, his teammate in his experience in Reggio Emilia. Taylor will go to complete the external department in view of the upcoming playoffs.

Playing in 31 games of the ongoing Regular Season of Spain’s Liga Endesa with Leyma Coruna, Taylor averaged 13.3 points, 6.8 assists, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.2 steals per contest. In addition to Spain, the former Utah standout has displayed his talents in China, France, Italy, Romania, and Hungary.
