Busy weekend in the Italian competition. Virtus climbed to the top after Trapani Shark’s disqualification and Brescia’s defeat, who are proving to be the biggest surprise of the Italian league. Trapani is having financial troubles, and its future is uncertain.
Emporio Armani Milan had a thrilling win at home against Udine. Great game for Zach LeDay (19 p.) and Shavon Shields (16) in a close game. They’re now 10-4, with four victories in a row.
Derthona remains in the top positions of the table after defeating Cantù on the road. Arthur Strautin (19 p.) was the top scorer for Mario Fioretti’s squad.
Tough away defeat for Brescia against Sassari. Cotelli Matteo’s team is no longer the leader of the Lega Basket Serie A (11-3).
