The losses suffered by the two EuroLeague teams leave the northern Italian side alone at the top of the standings.

Round 18 of the Lega A was a very special one, as both Olimpia Milano and Virtus Bologna lost their games.

The first “surprising” defeat was that of Peppe Poeta’s team, who went down 81–90 against Brescia, the new outright leaders of the competition.

Amedeo Della Valle delivered an outstanding performance with 31 points, 5 rebounds, and 7 assists to guide the visitors to victory. Armoni Brooks, with 19 points, was the home side’s leading scorer.

The game between Virtus Bologna and Trento also ended with a road win. An 85–87 victory for the visitors, who claimed the win despite 23 points from Carsen Edwards and 19 from Derrick Alston.
