Reyer moved within one win of the Italian League Finals after protecting home court

Venice defended its home court and moved one step closer to the Italian League Finals, taking control of the semifinal series against Virtus Bologna.

Reyer defeated Virtus 89-85 in Game 3 to take a 2-1 lead in the best-of-five series and move within one victory of the championship round.

Amedeo Tessitori led Venice with 22 points and 10 rebounds, while Jordan Parks added 15 points. Rayjon Tucker Cole contributed 13 points, five rebounds and five assists.

For Virtus Bologna, Carsen Edwards finished with a game-high 31 points. Mouhamet Diouf added 14 points and seven rebounds, while Saliou Niang recorded 11 points, seven rebounds and three assists. Aliou Diarra chipped in with 10 points.

After trailing by 12 points at the end of the opening quarter, Venice gradually erased the deficit and turned the game around in the second half. The teams entered the fourth quarter tied before the hosts made the key plays down the stretch to secure the win.

Game 4 will also be played in Venice, where Reyer will have the opportunity to clinch a place in the Italian League Finals.
