James leads Milano to overtime win over Sassari in Nedovic’s return – Serie A Day 10 Recap

Mike James made buckets and assists, Nemanja Nedovic returned to action and Milano got the victory.

Mike James posted a double-double of 19 points (4/15 f.g, 11/13 f.t.) and a career-high 15 assists for a game-high 28 PIR  to help Olimpia Milano overcome Dinamo Sassari 107 – 106 on the road after overtime.

Nemanja Nedovic added a team-high 21 points in 23 minutes in his return to action following a one-month absence due to a thigh injury. Arturas Gudaitis added a double-double 16 points plus 10 rebounds for the “Red Shoes” that extended their undefeated Serie A streak to 10-0.

Sassari dropped to 4-6 despite the efforts of Scott Bamforth (32 points) and Jack Cooley (17 points, 19 rebounds).

Venezia remains second (8-2) in the Italian League standings by beating Brindisi (5-5) behind Austin Daye’s 16 points plus nine rebounds. Varese and Cremona are tied at the third spot with 7-3.
