One year after being elected president of the South Sudan Basketball Federation, Luol Deng dives further into the national team taking over head coaching responsibilities, relays FIBA.
Algeria pulling out of Group D of the 2021 AfroBasket Qualifiers added South Sudan alongside Nigeria, Mali, and Rwanda for the approaching games set to be played at Kigali, Rwanda. “We take the opportunity that came to us. We have been building and we knew about coming here about a week ago. We are looking forward to it and it is a great chance for us to qualify,” mentioned the former NBA player.
The top three teams of the group will advance to the final stage.
