The Senegalese selection is in trouble as it is stuck in Germany after confirming four COVID-19 positives on Thursday, just a couple of days before the Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Serbia tips off. Senegal was set to play a preparation game against Germany ahead of the qualifiers.
According to mozzartsport.com, the German authorities have kept the entire selection in the country, even though they were expected to fly to Belgrade on Friday. It should be noted that three players and one member of the staff have tested positive. As further reported, it is not yet known when Senegal could arrive in Belgrade, and more information should be known later on Saturday.
Senegal faces Puerto Rico (June 29) and Italy (June 30) in Group B of the Belgrade Tournament.
