It was a long process but it’s finally done. Zach Auguste completed all the proper paperwork and in the next few weeks he will be officially Greek as his agent confirmed to Eurohoops.

Auguste’s mother is Greek-American and for a long time the Greek basketball federation was in contact with his side in order for him to get a Greek passport. Auguste, who is currently playing for Usak Sportif, will be able to play as a Greek from now on in Europe. That means without occupying a foreigner spot in the Greek league and with EU player status for the rest of the European domestic leagues.

The news about him finally becoming a Greek were first reported today by Greek website “Basketa.gr”.
