“There have been some amazing moments, representing Great Britain at the Olympics and playing in London a stone’s throw from where I grew up.”, said the 37-year-old, who spent the last five seasons of his career with the Leicester Riders.

“I have been playing basketball for over two decades. I have had an amazing time representing my country, some amazing clubs and playing here [at Leicester] for five seasons, but today I am announcing my retirement,” the player said in a special press conference that was held.

Sullivan goes off as Great Britain’s most-capped player with exactly 100 appearances for the national team, with his final game being against New Zealand in 2015.
