The Denver Nuggets and Nikola Jokic were coming in hot on Wednesday evening. Six wins in last seven 2019-20 NBA Regular Season outings including four straight since February 4th. However, the Los Angeles Lakers snatched the win in overtime at the Pepsi Center on Wednesday night.

“It was a close game. We just didn’t execute in the last minutes” mentioned Jokic after the contest. The Nuggets leader wrapped up his pre-All Star Game run with 22 points, 11 rebounds, six assists, three interceptions and one block in 37 minutes of action.

The Joker went through foul trouble, also turned the ball over three times including a costly error late in the extra period. “I made a lot of terrible mistakes,” he admitted, “The level of my decision was bad. I need to be better in decision-making.”

“I like our place in the standings”

Currently second in the Western Conference, four wins behind the Lakers and half a win ahead of the Los Angeles Clippers, the Nuggets are among the favorites for a playoffs berth and home-court advantage as well. Going into the break at 38-17.

“Nobody wants to lose, but we lost against an amazing team, one of the best in the NBA right now,” took out Jokic, “I like our place in the standings.”
