Serge Ibaka will not be looking for a move away from Toronto when he becomes a free agent, he told Sportsnet’s, Matt Rodrigo. The 30-year-old big intends to re-sign with the Toronto Raptors this summer.

“I’m going to stay, bro.” he pointed out in his virtual interview, “It’s a beautiful city, beautiful people here and then we have one of the best teams. Why leave?”

Marked the final season of his three-year, $65 million contract with 16 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per appearance up to the decision to suspend the 2019-20 season, in response to the coronavirus pandemic.

Ibaka joined Toronto via trade in February 2017. Previously played seven NBA season with the Oklahoma City Thunder and moved on to the Orlando Magic for the start of the 2016-17 season.
