Marco Belinelli openly criticized Rudy Gobert’s behavior and actions before the French center was tested positive for coronavirus.

“Terrible. I prefer not to express myself because I don’t want to say things that will seem offensive or too serious but that was … yes, it was terrible, Belinelli said in an interview with Corriere Della Sera.

Gobert came under fire when a video emerged of him purposefully touching microphones and cellphones of reporters during a presser and exhibiting what was characterized as a reckless behavior in light of the coronavirus spread.

Some of the Jazz players were later reported to be discussing Gobert being careless also in the team’s locker room. Donovan Mitchell, the other Utah player who tested positive for coronavirus, was reported to be irreparably angry with the French big man.

“But even before many other people were seen joking, making jokes, making fun of those who worried. I, who already knew what was happening in Italy, was stunned,” Belinelli also said. The San Antonio Spurs sharpshooter made a generous donation to a hospital of his native Bologna in March and when the coronavirus situation was escalating in Italy.

“From afar, I see how all the doctors, nurses and all those whoa re on the front line against the virus are giving 150% to heal people and a thought and thanks go to them,” Belinelli said. “I simply thought of helping.”
