Two Phoenix Suns players tested positive for coronavirus according to a report by The Arizona Republic. Following the results, Phoenix suspended the voluntary workouts of the team ahead of the NBA restart.

NBA teams are beginning to have tests for the players that will travel to Orlando, Florida for the planned resumption of the season on July 31. There has been a spike in the coronavirus cases in Florida that has created concern among players, club executives and the league office, according to a recent report by ESPN.

Some players were already cautious and not really eager to play the remainder of the season in the absence of a coronavirus cure. Others, led by Brooklyn Nets star Kyrie Irving, are worried that the NBA resumption will be a distraction from the movement against racial injustice and the protests in light of George Floyd’s murder by a policeman.
