Denver Nuggets star center Nikola Jokic tested positive for coronavirus according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski and Brian Windhorst. The Serbian big man found out he was coronavirus positive last week and has been asymptomatic.

On June 11, Jokic attended an exhibition game in Belgrade, Serbia where tennis star Novak Djokovic and Partizan Belgrade player Nikola Jankovic, both tested coronavirus positive, were present as well. Jokic appeared in pictures to be sitting next to Djokovic and also coming into physical contact with him.

Photos and videos of Jokic from the game became viral due to a remarkable transformation of his body during the NBA’s suspension since March 11.

Jokic will be cleared to travel back to Denver within a week and once he tests negative for coronavirus within 24 hours. Earlier on Tuesday (23/6), Woj reported that four players of a Western Conference playoff team have tested positive for coronavirus in recent weeks.

Before the NBA shut down, Jokic was averaging 20.2 points, 10.2 rebounds and 6.9 assists in 65 games of his sixth NBA season. He was named an All-Star for second straight year.
