Nikola Jokic hasn’t been able to travel to Orlando, Florida with the rest of the Denver Nuggets, but he’s now expected to join the team in the following days.
“The hope is that he will be here soon,” Nuggets coach Mike Malone said per ESPN. “I have spoken to him many times. I know he’s excited and looking forward to getting down here. he’s healthy, he feels great, hopefully he will be here soon in the next couple of days.”
Jokic has been stuck in his native Serbia due to travel issues that haven’t allowed him to board a plane back to the USA. The 25-year-old center is ready to get back to action after testing positive for coronavirus a couple of weeks ago.
Before the suspension of the NBA season, Jokic was averaging 20.2 points, 10.6 rebounds and 6.9 assists.
