German national team coach Chris Flemming is taking the next big step in his career as an assistant coach of the Denver Nuggets, despite a denial by German basketbal federation president Ingo Weiss.

Flemming has a deal for next season to be one of the five assistant coached of Denver’s head coach Mike Malone, as “Denver Post” reported. However he also has a contract until 2016 with the German national team, being the head of its new rebuilding project. Flemming, who is an American, made a name for himself in Germany by making Brose Baskets a local powerhouse and a respected team around Europe. He spoke about this, the national team and coaching Dirk Nowitzki on Eurohoops.
