The LA Clippers veteran guard Lou Williams didn’t practice with the squad today (July 24) and according to Andrew Greif, he has left the NBA bubble for excused personal reasons.

Williams is expected to return soon as is the case with Montrezl Harrell and Patrick Beverley who also left the campus in recent days. The Clippers also expect the arrival of Landry Shamet and Ivica Zubac.

The team’s first seeding game is scheduled for July 30 against the LA Lakers.

Meanwhile, the Houston Rockets also temporarily lost a guard as Austin Rivers left due to urgent family matter, according to Shams Charania.

It’s unknown what the urgent matter is and if Austin’s father and Clippers coach in Doc Rivers will also be affected by the situation and have to leave the campus as well.

The returnees will have to quarantine in a hotel room for four full days upon arriving back in the bubble. That is valid in case the players test negative for COVID-19 during their time outside of the bubble. Otherwise, it will be longer.

The Rockets, who also had their duo of James Harden and Russell Westbrook arrive late to the bubble, play against the Dallas Mavericks in their first seeding game on July 31.
