Brooklyn Nets are on to their new head coach search after being eliminated from the 2020 NBA playoffs and as reported by ESPN’s Jackie MacMullan, Sean Marks is seriously considering Jacque Vaughn for the job.

However, Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving are interested in a “higher profile” head coach such as Tyronn Lue or Gregg Popovich, according to the report, that indicates both coaches are among the candidates who have been linked to the opening.

Marks has worked with Popovich before in the San Antonio Spurs. Popovich, who has been with the Spurs since 1994, first as general manager and then as head coach, suggested he would continue coaching in the 2020-21 season following San Antonio’s elimination from the playoffs.
