Chauncey Billups is a candidate for the Indiana Pacers vacant head coach position, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Billups, a five-time NBA All-star and former champion, will be having discussions for the job with the Pacers‘ management. Among other things, these talks will also be about how ready Billups is for the task considering his lack of oaching experience, Wojnarowski also reports.

Indiana has been searching for a head coach after firing Nate McMillan earlier in September. Under McMillan, the Pacers made the playoffs four times in a row and were eliminated in the first round in every one of these trips.
