The Indiana Pacers finished the year on top of the Eastern Conference standings

Domantas Sabonis led the Pacers with 25 points and 11 rebounds, and Doug McDermott provided a spark with 18 points and nine rebounds off the bench in a 119-99 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers on the last night of 2020.

With Sabas junior setting the tone, the Pacers are now at 4-1, tied with the Sixers and the Magic on top of the Eastern Conference standings, after the win of Philadelphia over Orlando.

Joel Embiid had 21 points and nine rebounds in three quarters, as the Orlando Magic had their first loss of the season with a 116-92.

Montenegrin Nikola Vucevic finished with 19 points and 10 rebounds for the Magic, while French guard Evan Fournier after eight minutes of action left the game because of back spasms. He had three points and two assists.

The Bulls beat the Wizards (133-130) who still have not registered a win in the season, the Rockets prevailed over the Kings (122-119), Toronto beat New York (100-83), the Pelicans got the win over OKC (113-80) and the Jazz were beaten at home by the Suns (106-95), despite a double-double by Rudy Gobert who had 18 points and 14 rebounds.
