After a rocky start to the 2020-21 Regular Season, his first in the NBA, Facundo Campazzo went for 15 points Sunday providing a large and necessary boost to the Denver Nuggets bench. His five threes against the Minnesota Timberwolves are far from a usual contribution by the Argentinian floor general considering his European campaigns.

“I am working on my threes,” he noted after the game, “More athletic players can guard you here. That is a challenge for me. I will try my best to adapt as soon as possible.”

Brushing off early premature criticism by finally producing a solid showing, Campazzo aims to impress even more moving forward. Prior to Sunday, he accounted for only eight points in five matches.

“I felt great. It’s just an amazing feeling right now. I just tried to put 100% on both sides of the court,” he mentioned, “I worked hard to be here, so I will take every opportunity.”

The Nuggets improving to 2-4 will face the Timberwolves again Tuesday. The Dallas Mavericks and former Real Madrid teammate Luka Doncic will follow Thursday.

“We are a very dangerous team in offense and if we work hard enough we can be a great team in defense too,” said Campazzo.
