LaMelo Ball is included in the 2020-21 NBA Rookie of the Year talks and rightfully so considering his 15.8 points, 6.3 assists, and 6.0 rebounds per game through the first part of the season. Michael Jordan, Charlotte Hornets owner, told the Associated Press that the 19-year-old point guard has exceeded team expectations.
“I think Melo has adjusted to the NBA game better than any of us ever thought this early in his career,” explained the NBA legend. “He has exceeded our expectations so far this season.”
Ball has started in 15 of his 35 appearances with the Hornets. He is looking adjusted and growing in confidence moving forward into his rookie season with his side currently hanging on a spot leading to the postseason.
