As the Los Angeles Lakers prepare to face the Phoenix Suns on Sunday for their upcoming playoffs series, LeBron James was found to have violated the league’s health and safety protocols, as reported by ESPN.
James attended a promotional event of his tequila brand, Lobos 1707, along with several high-profile guests, right before the Lakers‘ play-in game vs. the Golden State Warriors earlier this week.
Even though the attendees had to produce proof either of vaccination or a negative test in order to gain entrance, James was still found to have violated the protocols followed by the league.
“It’s a violation of the agreed upon protocols, and, as we have in other comparable instances around the league, it has been addressed with the team,” said a league spokesman to ESPN.
