Lonzo Ball has agreed on a four-year, $85 million deal with the Chicago Bulls, as part of a sign-and-trade agreement with the New Orleans Pelicans, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports.

Ball, 23, spent the last two seasons with the Pelicans, averaging 14.6 points, 5.7 assists and 4.8 rebounds across 55 games in the 2020-21 campaign.

He will be reunited with former Lakers teammate Alex Caruso, who is signing a four-year, $37M deal with the Bulls, per Wojnarowski. Caruso, 27, had a key role on the 2020 Lakers championship squad and has indicated after this past season that he wanted to stay with the Lakers next to LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

He posted 6.4 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.8 assists across 58 games this past season with the Lakers and will be leaving the franchise for the first time in his career.
