After being cleared to return to action, LaMarcus Aldridge will be signing with the Brooklyn Nets to make his return to basketball, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. His deal is for one-year and it will earn him $2.6 million.

Aldridge, a seven-time All-Star, had also joined the Nets in March 2021, only to announce his retirement from basketball a month later and after he was diagnosed with irregular heartbeat.

The Nets were reported to be the frontrunners to once again acquire 36-year-old Aldridge when the big man got the green light from the doctors to make his comeback to playing. He will reunite with Kevin Durant, James Harden and Kyrie Irving to help the championship-aspiring Nets get the title they were built to win.

Before he first signed with the Nets in 2021, Aldridge spent six years with the San Antonio Spurs and nine seasons at the Portland Trail Blazers.
