Cedric Ceballos revealed on Tuesday that he’s been in the hospital for the last ten days.

Ceballos, 52, has contracted coronavirus. He has been in the intensive care unit for ten days.

“On my 10th day in ICU, COVID-19 is officially kicking my but, I am asking ALL family, friends, prayer warriors, healers, for your prayers and well wish for my recovery,” he wrote in a post shared on Twitter, “If I have done and anything to you in the past, allow me to publicly apologize. My fight is not done… Thanks.”

Among the few NBA players born in Hawaii, he enjoyed a lengthy playing career, including 11 seasons in the NBA. He made the All-Star Game team in 1995 but did not play in the All-Star Game due to injury and won the Slam Dunk Contest in 1992.

The Phoenix Suns made out a large chunk and key part of his career, from 1990 to 1994 and 1996 to 1998. He also played for the Los Angeles Lakers between his two stints at Phoenix and the Dallas Mavericks from 1997 to 2000, prior to concluding his NBA run with brief stints at the Detroit Pistons and Miami Heat. He later travelled to Israel, Russia, and the Philippines extending his playing days way for several more years.

His college career started off at Ventura College. He joined Cal State Fullerton from 1988 to 1990 and was selected with the 48th overall pick of the 1990 NBA draft.
