NBA players were informed that unvaccinated players who breach quarantine in Toronto face criminal offenses, according to Shams Charania.

Unvaccinated players are only able to leave the hotel for team activities. Per Canada’s Quarantine Act, violations could lead to up to 6 months in prison and/or $750K in fines.

While the NBA has reached a 95% vaccination rate, there’s still a number of unvaccinated players including some high-profile faces, such as Kyrie Irving for whom it’s still uncertain what he’ll decide.

The Brooklyn Nets, reportedly, after being optimistic that Kyrie Irving will ultimately get vaccinated, are preparing for the possibility that he could miss practices and home games for the foreseeable future.
