Two-time EuroLeague champion Anthony Parker is returning to the Orlando Magic, this time as an assistant GM, as President of Basketball Operations Jeff Weltman announced earlier in the week.

Parker, 46, spent the previous four seasons as general manager of the Lakeland Magic in the G-League and during his time with the team, Lakeland recorded 94 regular-season victories and tied for the most in the G-League during that span, before winning the G-League 2020-21 championship.

Prior to joining Lakeland, Parker spent five seasons between 2012 and 2017 as a scout with the Magic, after ending his playing career.

Toronto Raptors and Cleveland Cavaliers were his two last stops in the NBA, coming from a fantastic run in Europe with Maccabi Tel Aviv, with which he lifted two EuroLeague trophies and earned the EuroLeague MVP honors twice (2005, 2006).

Parker was selected in the first round of the 1997 NBA Draft by New Jersey Nets and played in 494 career NBA regular-season games (423 starts) during nine seasons (1997-2000, 2006-12) with Philadelphia, Orlando, Toronto and Cleveland.

The Magic have also promoted Matt Lloyd to vice president of basketball operations next to Weltman.
