Just a few days ago, Isaiah Thomas was open to the possibility of signing overseas, however, he has the chance to return to the NBA with the Los Angeles Lakers.
Per the Athletic, Thomas is planning to sign a 10-day contract under the hardship exemption after scoring 42 points in his NBA G League debut on Wednesday night.
Thomas was also a member of the US national team which competed in the recent FIBA Windows.
The 32-year-old guard played three games for the New Orleans Pelicans last season after signing a 10-day contract. He averaged 7.7 points on 33.3 percent shooting, coming off the bench.
He had the top season of his career with the Celtics in 2017, when he averaged 28.9 points and 5.9 assists.
