Jose Calderon will return to the Cleveland Cavaliers for the first time since his retirement, in a front-office role

The Cleveland Cavaliers are hiring Jose Calderon to a front office role, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.

Calderon played 14 years in the NBA (2005-2019) for seven teams – Toronto Raptors, Detroit Pistons, Dallas Mavericks, New York Knicks, LA Lakers, Atlanta Hawks, Cleveland Cavaliers.

He played for the Cavs in the 2017-18 season, when the team reached the Final but was swept 4-0 by the Golden State Warriors.

The Spaniard retired at the age of 38, finishing his NBA run with career averages of 8.9 points and 5.8 assists. He moved on to a tole within the NBPA after his retirement.

Calderon won eight medals with the Spanish national team including gold at EuroBasket and FIBA World Cup. He took four trips to the Olympics, winning two silver medals and a bronze.
