Dario Saric could be on the chopping block.

The Phoenix Suns are expected to make some moves to further strengthen their roster ahead of what is expected to be a heated playoff battle in the Western Conference. And one of the trades that the Suns can do may involve forward Dario Saric.

“Dario’s [Saric] contract gets brought up time and again. It’s something that they’re trying to move, which makes sense,” said Bleacher Report’s Jake Fischer while discussing trade rumors on the Solar Panel podcast.

Saric hasn’t played a game yet in this season after getting operated on for a torn ACL he suffered in the 2021 NBA Finals. The Croatian forward had said that he hopes to return before the current season is over.

After making the Finals for the first time since 1993 last season, the Suns are now facing heavier competition in the West. The Golden State Warriors – who got eliminated in the Play-In tournament in 2021 –  are much stronger, the Dallas Mavericks look better while the Denver Nuggets are expecting to have last year’s absent star Jamal Murray plus Michael Porter Jr with them before the season is over. The Los Angeles Lakers don’t really perform according to expectations but they definitely aren’t to be underestimated.

The 2022 NBA trade deadline is February 10.
