Dzanan Musa didn’t fulfill his potential in the NBA where he spent two years with the Brooklyn Nets, splitting the effort between the main roster and the G League. However, Mirza Teletovic who spent six years in the US as well, believes that Musa will return soon enough.

“Dzanan is a great talent, who has already done some beautiful things in his career. He may have gone to the NBA too soon and been burned, but I believe he will return to the US soon because he just needed more experience and more games to deal with the players. He saw what he was missing and now he is working on it in Europe. With his experience, knowledge, quality and strong desire to learn, I believe we will see him dribble there again. He must be patient and go step by step and he is guaranteed a bright future because he has the qualities of a leader and everything it takes to be successful,” Teletovic explained in the interview with Israel Hayom.

Musa’s return to Europe happened in Turkey and Euroleague with Anadolu Efes but Musa didn’t quite find a place for himself there. That said, his move to Spain and Rio Breogan turned out to be a winning ticket as he put all of his talents on display.

He’s been averaging 19.8 points on 44% from deep, 4.9 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.2 steals over 19 games in the Spanish Liga Endesa.  He also put on 11 games with 20+ points, as well as two games with 33 and 31 points respectively.
