Brooklyn played for their playoffs lives, but never led and the Celtics got the 116-112 road win over the Nets and the ticket to the Eastern Conference semifinals with a 4-0 sweep. Jayson Tatum who was ejected with six fouls three minutes before the end of the game scored 29 points, Jaylen Brown added 22 and Marcus Smart had 20.

However Grant Williams had a key contribution with a great defensive effort over Kevin Durant and 14 points on 4/6 threes. Plus Robert Williams returned to action as the Celtics didn’t miss anyone for their final first round game.

Durant scored 39 points on 13/31 field goals, he also had nine assists and seven rebounds. However, he couldn’t save the day. Slovenian guard Goran Dragic added 10 points and eight rebounds off the bench, Seth Curry scored 23 points and Kyrie Irving had 20.

Still, nothing really worked for Brooklyn which after Game 1 in the series, that was decided at the buzzer, couldn’t do much against Boston. That was the eighth sweep in the playoffs history of the Celtics who will face in the next round the winner of the series between the Bucks and Chicago. Milwaukee has a 3-1 advantage at the moment.
