Luka Doncic is special and this was proven once more in Game 7 against the Phoenix Suns. The Slovenian phenomenon scored 35 points in 30 minutes, the Mavs led even by 46 points and the game was practically before halftime as Dallas ultimately got the 123-90 win and qualified for the Western Conference finals against the Golden State Warriors.

Phoenix was in shock, trailing by 30 at halftime (57-27) with Spenser Dinwiddie also scoring 30 points. To be exact in the first two quarters Doncic had already 27 points and Dinwiddie 21, leaving no chance for last season’s finalists.

As Doncic said just after the game: “I don’t know what to see, this was amazing. Everybody was locked in. It’s an incredible win”.

The 46-point lead is a new record in the history of Game 7 and Doncic who also had 10 rebounds, four assists and two steals was simply unstoppable.

Cam Johnson with 12 points was the leading scorer of the Suns. Devin Booker and Chris Paul combined for a total of 21 points on 7/22 field goals, while Phoenix shot just 37,9% at home. On the same time, the Mavericks finished the game on 56,8% shooting efficiency from the floor.

“I told them I hurt for them. I know they didn’t want to play that way. We basically played our worst game of the season tonight,” Suns head coach Monty Williams said.
