After a great season in Europe with Monaco and a quiet summer for Dwayne Bacon in which his name was rarely mentioned on transfer rumors, he was reportedly part of the Lakers‘ recent workouts.
Per Mike Scotto of Hoopshype: The Los Angeles Lakers brought in several free agents for workouts, including former lottery picks Shabazz Muhammad and Jeremy Lamb. Dwayne Bacon, Miye Oni, and others also worked out for the Lakers.
It remains to be seen if those workouts can translate to anything meaningful, especially after the addition of Dennis Schroder to the roster of the Lakers. However, the team still has an open spot on their roster, so anything seems possible.
It has to be noted that while Bacon was always focused on one more chance in the NBA, most EuroLeague teams, including Monaco didn’t make him an offer for next season.
