Making a bad situation worse, the Golden State Warriors are forced to deal with a leaked video showing Draymond Green reacting and landing a superman punch on Jordan Poole.
In the video obtained and shared by TMZ, the Warriors teammates came face-to-face and whatever a seemingly heated discussion was, it led to Green punching Poole. Players and members of the coaching staff indeed separated them, confirming the initial reports.
The team was considering disciplinary action toward Green and will continue to monitor the situation internally. However, neither Green nor Poole were expected to face a potential suspension extending into the 2022-23 NBA Regular Season, at least as hinted by team officials prior to the leaked video.
Among the notable NBA players sharing their view, New York Knicks French star Evan Fournier wrote in a post on Twitter: “There is no way you can get back to being teammates after a punch like that.”
The violent incident marked Wednesday’s practice. The next scheduled practice is tomorrow, Saturday, as the reigning NBA champions continue to work through the 2022 NBA Preseason preparing for the new Regular Season.
