In the most anticipated game of the NBA Night, the Milwaukee Bucks lost 118-100 on the road against the Brooklyn Nets.

Giannis Antetokounmpo almost recorded a triple-double, scoring 26 points, grabbing 13 rebounds, and dishing 7 assists. He shot 9/13 from the field and 8/11 on free throws but was held scoreless in the fourth quarter.

In the third quarter, Antetokounmpo injured his right hand on an awkward fall following a hard foul by Royce O’Neale, but head coach Mike Budenholzer said an X-ray of it came back clean following the game.

“I think it was just a hard foul. Playing the game. I get those fouls every time I step on the floor. I’m kind of used to it. I try not to pay a lot of attention but I know that the referees are going to try to do the right job calling what they see, and trying to protect the players as much as they can. It’s part of the game. It’s part of the game”, the Greek Freak said about the accident on the court.

Both Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving had convincing nights. The first put up 24 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 assists, while the latter had 18 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 assists.

“We just want to keep it up. We don’t want to take our foot off the gas pedal”, Irving said after the victory. “That shows us a locked-in team right there”, KD added.

Ben Simmons went close to a triple-double as well with 12 points, 11 rebounds, and 8 assists, while Thanasis Antetokounmpo played only 3 minutes going scoreless.

With this victory, the Nets improved to 21-12, getting closer to the Bucks, which are currently second in the Eastern Conference with a 22-10 record.

The 2x NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo is by far the best player on the Milwaukee Bucks roster, and he’s averaging 31.4 points, 11.3 rebounds, and 5.2 assists per game in the 2022-23 Regular Season.
