Tyler Dorsey worked out with the Los Angeles Lakers according to Krysten Peek of Yahoo Sports. Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka and head coach Darvin Ham attended the workout of the Greek-American guard who’s targeted by multiple EuroLeague clubs.
Dorsey is trying to find another contract in the NBA after he got waived by the Dallas Mavericks in late December. While at least three EuroLeague teams (AS Monaco, Fenerbahce Beko and his former side Olympiacos Piraeus) are interested in him, the 26-year-old player’s priority is to stay in the NBA and will look to exhaust his options after the start of the 10-day contract period January 5).
In 2021-22, Dorsey averaged 12.8 points, 2.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists as Olympiacos reached the EuroLeague Final Four. He helped the team win the Greek League and Cup titles, being named Final MVP on the latter.
