Pending an update on the status of Nikola Jokic, the right wrist issue is not considered serious.

Jokic, 27, was ruled out of Friday’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers. On the official injury report, he was attached to right wrist injury management. Being sidelined long-term is unlikely, reports Nuggets insider Mike Singer.

The reigning back-to-back MVP did not travel to Los Angeles. But his side earned the win at Crypto.com Arena and improved to 29-13 with a fifth consecutive win in the 2022-23 NBA Regular Season. Up next is a five-game homestand tipping off opposite the Orlando Magic in the next edition of NBA Sundays. The Western Conference leaders will be looking to stay on top of the standings.

“I am starting to think Nikola’s a little overrated,” head coach Mike Malone sarcastically commented on his side producing a convincing display without the Joker. On a serious note, he confirmed that the injury has been ‘bothering him for a while,’ specifically since originally getting hurt during the 2022 NBA Preseason in early October.

The Nuggets have yet to submit an injury report for the game versus the Magic at Bell Arena. Barring a setback, there is a chance Jokic will return to action after getting some rest.

The Serbian superstar, projected to play in the All-Star Game for a fifth year in a row, has tallied 24.9 points, 11.0 rebounds, 9.7 assists, 1.4 steals, and 0.6 blocks per contest over 38 games played this season.
