After losing to the short-handed Boston Celtics, Ja Morant shared his confidence with the Memphis Grizzlies situation in the West

If you ask Ja Morant, Boston Celtics are the team to be feared this season.

The Memphis Grizzlies star recently said that he is “fine in the West,” and after a loss to short-handed Celtics, confirmed that Joe Mazzulla’s team is the one to watch out for.

I feel like them being balanced and having two guys lead them on the offensive ends. Then you also have two terrific defensive players, Smart and Robert Williams. Obviously, you can’t discredit JB with him playing on both sides of the ball, and you’ve got everybody else coming out and playing a type of way. They are a pretty tough team. Well balanced. Good guys,” Morant said.

Trade deadline deals, with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving switching to West for the Phoenix Suns and the Dallas Mavericks, didn’t change his mind.

Yeah, my confidence will never change. I don’t care who got something to say about it. Honestly, I said what I said, and I mean that,” Morant added. “The confidence I had when I said that is the confidence that got us to the point we’re at now, being a top team in this league.

Memphis is still in second place in the West with a 34-22 score, but Dallas and Phoenix are creeping up behind, while Denver is 4,5 games in front.

Last season’s Most Improved Player of the year is having another stellar season, scoring 27,5 points per game, with 8,3 assists and 5,9 rebounds.
