The Milwaukee Bucks are waiving forward Sandro Mamukelashvili according to Shams Charania of The Athletic. The 2021 NBA champions made this move to open a two-way contract spot on their roster.

Mamukelashvili, 23, joined the Bucks in 2021 by signing a two-way contract. He had multiple assignments with the Wisconsin Herd in the G League.

In his debut NBA season, Mamukelashvili  played 41 games and averaged 3.8 points and 2.1 rebounds in 9.9 minutes. In this campaign, he participated in 24 NBA games, posting 2.4 points and 2.3 rebounds in 9.0 minutes.

Mamukelashvili becomes the third European player who’s being waived this period. The Chicago Bulls parted ways with veteran guard Goran Dragic while the Toronto Raptors are releasing Juancho Hernangomez.
