Another clutch performance for Stephen Curry as the Golden State Warriors outlast the Milwaukee Bucks in overtime

After celebrating the fourth NBA championship with the Golden State Warriors and the NBA Finals MVP award in June, Stephen Curry shifted to helping the franchise salvage a berth in the Playoffs.

Underperforming early in the 2022-23 Regular Season shaped a demanding situation but the overtime win against the league-leading Milwaukee Bucks was certainly a step in the right direction for the Warriors. Curry tallied 36 points on NBA Saturdays.

“Oh, I’m great. I’m just getting old,” he jokingly commented visibly exhausted after the 43-minute effort in Chase Center.

Curry, 34, scored 22 points in the fourth quarter and overtime, including the tying three-pointer and a block on Jrue Holiday to force five extra minutes.

“I just made the right read,” he mentioned on the clutch display expanding to the defensive end, “It was the fun way to end regulation. Carrying the momentum in overtime was huge.”

“He came out of nowhere. Jrue had a straight line drive to the rim,” added longtime teammate Draymond Green.

The basketball world certainly expects Curry to take care of business with spectacular shots. Making a clutch play in defense is a huge bonus, especially in the process of climbing up the standings in the Western Conference.

Bucks head coach missed Giannis Antetokounmpo in San Francisco. However, his side nearly escaped with a win over the defending champions without the Freak suiting up for the tough challenge on the road.

“Overtime and fourth quarter, he got away from us a little bit,” Budenholzer said of Curry taking over and tucking in numerous key shots, “Some of them were high level.”
